When most companies spec their bikes for the coming year, they are forced to guess what fork, seat, handlebar, crank length, or tire is going to be best for the “average consumer”.

The Cycologist philosophy is that each rider is unique, and therefore each bike should be unique. Every bike from The Cycologist is like a snowflake – no two are alike!

Whether you choose a full custom bike that includes a selection of tubing materials, diameters, and geometry or a semi-custom bike from a stock frame size, we assist you in selecting each individual component based on the information gathered during your Fitting.

The benefits of buying a bike from The Cycologist

  • A FREE professional fitting is included in the price of all bikes ($120 Value) – there is none of the costly guessing and after market changes to bike components to make your bike perfect for you.
  • The Cycologist spends considerable time helping you select the components on your new bike so they perfectly match your riding goals and history as well as your physique. You are not stuck riding the components that some product manager decided he could get a good deal on that year.
  • Your bike will receive a "Pro Build" treatment – an intensive build process that consists of lubing every single bolt before installation, reaming and facing the headset and bottom bracket (assures longer life of both the frame and bearings), and a number of different "mechanics secrets". All of this attention equals ounces of prevention where a lot of shops emphasize their "pounds of cure".
  • The Cycologist will do a ½ hour to hour long ride with you so he is there to analyze your fit, suspension, etc. under real life conditions. This allows him to make adjustments on the spot. This is something that most other shops can't do and we do it because we care! We want your bike to be perfect – not just better than the one you had before.
We maintain a large inventory of back-up wheelsets, forks, rear shocks, and even demo bikes to make sure that if something happens to your bike we will keep you rolling, at no charge, during repair time. No more spoiled rides because you bent your rim or drove your bike into the garage! We recognize that you love to ride and don't want a minute off your bike due to a mechanical problem.
